About this blog…
The Liquid Metal Guitar Company…
Sometimes the lights all shinin on me;
Other times I can barely see.
Lately it occurs to me what a long, strange trip its been.
We are building a company in this new online age and it has been a blast.
There is now before us, a ton of different and fantastic ways of creating a place to sell our custom guitars. I, like most guys my age ( 53 ), just use the technology and dont give it too much thought. But when we actually stop to think about it what we are using, it is totally amazing how far we have come in a short time. There is a proliferation of tools and venues for us now to build online businesses. I mean we have cell phones, gosh, 15 years ago they were rudimentary and ugly and now, they cook ya breakfast in the morning. Or the internet, yes, the internet, where you are reading this now, wasn’t around not to long ago. E commerce, that was a good idea back a few years with a few million in total sales, now 259 billion. Even in the dot com boom where the stock market rose dramatically on the potential of the net, it really wasn’t there yet. But the visionaries stayed hard at work and 10 years later, the hype and promises of that time, have been realized and surpassed, phenomenally surpassed and the pace of change now is stunning.
We have myriad ways of reaching our guitar players, both potential and current. I love it.
So, this blog is about what I am doing, what I am learning, what works, what doesn’t work all the things that we do as entrepreneurs to create a good sustainable business. This is an old school business, making guitars working in the new age of amazing technology.
Would be delighted to have your comments ideas and suggestions.
Be well…
Phil
